For couples Looking for custom wedding music

Two brides wearing white on the covered porch of a Southern house. They both hold white bouquets and are smiling at each other.

At Hummingbird Harmonies, we believe your wedding soundtrack should be as intentional as your wedding vows. We are changing the game by retiring the standard wedding set list for music that's magical.

Whether it's a folk melody that honors your heritage or a custom-arranged theme song for your walk down the aisle, we specialize in music that feels distinctly yours. We focus on creating a seamless, immersive atmosphere, ensuring there are no awkward silences - just a perfectly curated flow that delights your guests and affirms your unique story.

Ways couples have transformed their celebration with music:

Special song:
"Friday I'm in Love" - The Cure

Vanessa & Herb

Incorporated two versions of "their song" during their ceremony - a slow, romantic rendition for the processional and an upbeat, lively version for their recessional.

Special song:
"Canon in D"/"Can't Help Falling in Love"

Madison & Nick

Created a custom mash-up of two songs for the  bridal entrance for the perfect reveal.

Special song:
"Still Into You" - Paramore

Karey & Brady

Reimagined what their wedding ceremony could look like without a walk down the aisle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Real Answers To The Questions You’re Wondering About

Choosing your wedding musician shouldn’t come with guesswork. Whether you're planning a Raleigh wedding, an intimate dinner party in the Triad, or a fundraiser in Virginia, I want you to feel confident and informed about what to expect from our harpist wedding music packages.

Here are some of the most common questions I receive — and honest answers that reflect the care and professionalism I bring to every performance.

What types of events do you play for?

While weddings are the most requested, the harp adds beauty and presence to all kinds of events. I’ve played for:
  • Rehearsal dinners & anniversaries
  • Garden teas, baby showers & birthdays
  • Fundraisers & galas
  • Holiday events & corporate parties
  • Sacred services & celebrations of life

If you're looking for elevated entertainment in North Carolina, Virginia, or beyond, I’d love to bring harp music to your event.

How far in advance should I book?

Most engaged couples book 3–6 months in advance, but dates during peak wedding season (April–October) tend to fill up quickly. I accept bookings up to 15 months ahead.
If your event is within a month, reach out; limited dates may be available. Want to check your date?

  • Visit my YouTube channel for full-length performances
  • Follow me on Instagram for quick clips and behind-the-scenes

You’ll hear everything from classical to pop, all adapted with care for harp.

Can you play songs other than classical music?

Yes! While many think of harp and classical music together, I play a wide variety from Taylor Swift and Sting to Alicia Keys and Lord of the Rings.

Most modern songs can be beautifully adapted for harp.

Can you perform outdoors?

Yes, I often play for outdoor weddings in Raleigh and throughout the region. I just need:
  • A shaded or covered spot
  • Outdoor temps above 50°F
  • A rain backup plan
I’ll work with your planner to make sure all logistics are seamless.

What wedding packages do you offer?

I offer three curated wedding packages, each customizable to fit your day. From ceremony-only options to full weekend coverage, there’s something for every vision.

Most couples invest an average of $3,000 for their wedding music.

Do I need amplification?

It depends on the setting:
  • Indoors under 80 guests? Probably not.
  • Quiet outdoor events with under 60 guests? Often not needed.
  • Larger events or open-air venues? I recommend it.
I offer professional amplification, including a full ceremony sound package for harp + officiant microphone + expert on-site support.

Can you perform with other musicians?

Yes! While I often play solo, I’m happy to collaborate. Whether you’ve hired someone or would like me to reach out to my network to create a duet or trio (harp/flute, harp/cello, etc.), we can design something beautiful.

What if you’re unable to perform at our wedding?

While this is extremely rare, I plan ahead. I have a trusted network of North Carolina harpists and musicians. If an emergency ever arises, I’ll connect you with a qualified replacement.
In fact, I've even stepped in for couples when other harpists have cancelled last minute.

Do you travel?

Yes! I’m based in Raleigh, NC, and regularly travel throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and parts of the DMV.
Any fees are disclosed upfront — which means no  surprises.

How many songs can I choose?

It’s totally up to you — but here are some suggestions:

Prelude: Up to 12 songs
Ceremony: 5 songs
Cocktail Hour: 20 songs

I’ll help balance your selections with matching pieces to set the mood. And yes — I’ll learn new songs just for you.
